How to Buy a ChatGPT Plus Subscription with a Card

What you need before you start

You do not need to send your ChatGPT password. The top-up is applied to your own account, and the store only needs the purchase email to create the order and send updates.

• Your own ChatGPT account, signed in on a device you control.
• A valid email address for order updates and lookup.
• A card, Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet that can pay in USD.
• A few minutes to complete checkout and confirm the plan.

Step 1: choose the right plan

The product card shows the current price, stock display and delivery method. A manual product is handled by support; an automatic product starts the top-up process after payment. Both are tracked on the order page.

Step 2: enter your order email

Click Buy now and enter the email address you want associated with the order. Use an address you can access immediately: it is used for payment and delivery notifications and, together with the order number, for order lookup.

A typo here is the most common reason people cannot find an order later. Check the address before continuing to Stripe.

Step 3: pay through Stripe

Checkout opens on Stripe, where you can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay depending on your device and region. The amount and currency are shown before you confirm. OpenAI Subscription does not store your full card number.

If your bank asks for additional verification, complete it in the Stripe window. Do not close the tab while the payment is processing. When Stripe confirms the payment, you are redirected back to the order page.

Step 4: receive the top-up

Automatic orders usually begin within one to three minutes of payment. Manual orders are handled by support and typically finish within five to thirty minutes, depending on the product and current volume. The order page shows the current status and refreshes while delivery is in progress.

Keep the order number. If you need help, support can find the order faster with the number plus the purchase email.

Step 5: confirm the plan on your account

Open ChatGPT in a browser, sign in with the account you intended to top up and check the plan label in the account menu or settings. If the plan does not appear immediately, sign out and back in once, then check again.

If the plan still does not show after the stated delivery window, contact support with the order number. Do not place a second order before support has checked the first one; duplicate orders take longer to unwind than a single delayed order.

Troubleshooting common problems

• Payment declined: try another card or wallet, and check that international USD payments are enabled.
• Payment succeeded but no order page: wait a minute, then use the query page with your order number and email.
• Plan not showing: sign out and back in, then check the account you actually use.
• Wrong email entered: contact support with the order number and the correct address.
• Duplicate charge: do not order again; send both order numbers to support for review.

Safety and refunds

Never send your ChatGPT password, recovery codes or full card details to anyone, including support. A legitimate top-up does not require them.

Failed top-ups and paid orders that cannot be delivered are refunded in full under the store policy. Delivered digital products are generally not refundable, except for duplicate charges or confirmed delivery failures. The order page and support confirmation are the record of what happened.
